Analysis of Safety Protection Technology for Lithium Titanate Batteries in Urban Rail Transit Vehicles

Abstract: With the continuous development and progress of China’s socio-economy, people’s living standards have significantly improved, and daily travel needs have become more diverse. Consequently, the operation of urban rail transit vehicles has garnered increasing attention. To provide a safe and efficient transportation solution, optimizing battery systems is crucial. The adoption of lithium titanate batteries in vehicles ensures more reliable operational performance and prevents operational disruptions caused by battery safety issues. An analysis of safety protection technologies for lithium titanate batteries in urban rail transit vehicles enables the implementation of scientific safety measures, maximizing their advantages. This paper first outlines the fundamentals of lithium titanate batteries and their importance in urban rail transit systems, then conducts an in-depth examination of safety protection technologies from multiple perspectives, aiming to offer valuable insights.
