Research on the Application of Ion Chromatography Technology in Drug Development

Abstract: As a variant of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion chromatography is a widely employed analytical technique for detecting anions, cations, and small-molecule polar organic compounds. It offers advantages such as simple operation, rapid detection speed, high sensitivity, excellent selectivity, and the capability for simultaneous analysis of multiple components. This article provides a concise overview of the fundamental principles of ion chromatography and its applications in drug development, while also outlining the promising prospects for future applications of this technology.
