Abstract: The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is profoundly reshaping the ecology of higher education. As the core executor of foreign language teaching, college English teachers are facing the era proposition of transforming from “knowledge imparter” to “learning enabler”. On the basis of reviewing the research on teachers’ digital literacy and AI literacy at home and abroad, this paper constructs a framework of college English teachers’ digital literacy covering five dimensions: digital consciousness-technical knowledge and skills-digital teaching application-data-driven decision-making-ethical safety norms, and puts forward the practical path of teachers’ role reshaping from three levels: role cognition reconstruction, ability structure transformation and teaching mode innovation. According to the research, digital-intelligent literacy is not only a supplement to instrumental ability, but also a core component of college English teachers’ professional development. Its improvement depends on the three-dimensional linkage of institutional support, community collaboration and individual consciousness.
