Research on the Coordinated Optimization of Rainwater Management and Drainage Flood Prevention in Sponge Cities with the Assistance of a Drainage Numerical Model

Abstract: The drainage simulation model transforms the rainwater management objectives of sponge cities into calculable hydraulic parameters, providing technical support for the deployment of source control facilities, assessment of pipeline capacity, and comparison of storage and discharge coordination schemes. This paper analyzes rainwater runoff simulation, integration of low-impact development facilities, pipeline storage and discharge coordination, and coordinated scheduling based on rainfall and water level conditions; identifies challenges in parameter alignment, peak shaving matching, node discharge coordination, and temporal control during the application of these integrated technologies; and proposes a collaborative optimization approach centered on model calibration and validation, facility integration optimization, reinforcement of critical nodes, and refinement of coordinated scheduling.
