Applied Research on the Impact of Digital Technology on the Effectiveness of Hurdle Teaching

Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, digital technology has gradually permeated all levels of the education field, bringing innovative changes to traditional teaching models. As an important skill in track and field, improving the effectiveness of hurdle teaching and training is crucial for enhancing athletes’ competitive levels. This paper aims to explore the application effects of digital technology in hurdle teaching, analyze its impact on the quality and efficiency of hurdle teaching through empirical research, and provide new ideas and methods for hurdle teaching.

Research Purpose: In the context of the information age, digital technology, with its unique advantages such as data visualization, real-time feedback, and personalized teaching, has brought unprecedented development opportunities to the education field. As an important part of track and field teaching, the effect of hurdle teaching is directly related to athletes’ competitive levels and sports performance. However, traditional hurdle teaching models often have problems such as single teaching methods, delayed feedback, and poor training effects. Therefore, this study aims to construct a new hurdle teaching model by introducing digital technology to improve teaching quality and athletes’ training efficiency.

Research Methods: This study adopts a combination of literature review, experimental research, and questionnaire survey. First, through literature review, it sorts out the application status and development trends of digital technology in the field of physical education teaching to provide theoretical support for this study. Secondly, it designs and implements an experimental plan of applying digital technology in hurdle teaching, selects a certain number of athletes as experimental subjects, divides them into an experimental group and a control group, and uses digital technology and traditional teaching methods for hurdle teaching respectively. During the teaching process, training data of athletes are recorded in real-time through data collection equipment, and data are processed and analyzed using data analysis software. Finally, feedback from athletes on the digital teaching model is collected through questionnaires to evaluate the teaching effect.

Research Results: After experimental research and data analysis, the main results of this study are as follows:

Digital technology can significantly improve the effect of hurdle teaching. After using digital technology for teaching, the hurdle skills of athletes in the experimental group have been significantly improved, and the improvement range is significantly larger than that of the control group.

Digital technology can enhance athletes’ learning interest and motivation. The results of the questionnaire survey show that athletes in the experimental group have a generally high satisfaction with the digital teaching model, and generally believe that digital teaching can better stimulate their learning interest and motivation.

Digital technology can optimize the process of hurdle teaching. Through data collection and analysis, teachers can more accurately understand athletes’ training status and timely find and correct problems existing in athletes’ training.

Research Conclusions and Recommendations: The results of this study show that digital technology has significant application effects in hurdle teaching, which can significantly improve teaching quality and efficiency. Therefore, it is recommended to widely promote and apply digital technology in hurdle teaching to improve teaching effects and athletes’ competitive levels. At the same time, the following points should be noted:

Strengthen the research and development and application of digital technology. With the continuous development of science and technology, digital technology is also constantly updated. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the research and development and application of digital technology, and constantly bring forth new ideas to meet the actual needs of hurdle teaching.

Pay attention to athletes’ individual differences. Each athlete has differences in physical quality and skill level. Therefore, when applying digital technology for teaching, it is necessary to fully consider athletes’ individual differences and provide personalized teaching services for them.

Strengthen teacher training. The application of digital technology requires certain professional knowledge and skills. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the training and education of teachers, improve their digital literacy and application ability, so as to ensure the effective application of digital technology in hurdle teaching.

This study provides new ideas and methods for the innovation of hurdle teaching, and is of great significance for promoting the application of digital technology in the field of physical education teaching. In the future, it is necessary to further study the specific application and effect evaluation of digital technology in hurdle teaching to continuously improve and optimize the teaching model and improve the quality and efficiency of hurdle teaching.
