Abstract: This study focuses on the development and practice of an AI-supported primary school music curriculum, with a specific emphasis on the teaching scenario of pentatonic melody composition. It explores innovative approaches to technology-enhanced music education against the backdrop of educational digital transformation.By constructing a three-stage, eight-step teaching model and integrating tools such as Xingzhe AI and Chord Genie, the study combines the inheritance of classical poetry culture with the cognitive development patterns of students to form a modular, grade-specific school-based curriculum system. Practical results demonstrate that AI technology effectively lowers the barriers to music creation, enhances students’ autonomy in composition, increases classroom engagement and creativity, and promotes the integration of traditional culture with modern education. The study also proposes an evaluation system encompassing process-based, outcome-based, developmental, and multi-dimensional interactive assessments, validated through cases such as “The Small Pond.” The findings indicate that AI technology significantly improves the effectiveness of curriculum implementation, though challenges remain in teacher acceptance and resource adaptability. The study provides a replicable teaching paradigm for the future digital transformation of music education.
