Cross-Border, Integration and Symbiosis—Exploration and Practice of Digitalization of Aesthetic Education in Colleges and Universities

Abstract: Digitalization and Internet culture have come together, and the overall appearance of cultural construction has changed. Aesthetic education in colleges and universities has also shifted from merely teaching their own courses to a new path of cross-border collaborative education. Under the impetus of the two major policies, namely the digitalization strategy of education and the infiltration action of aesthetic education, this article takes “cross-border, integration and symbiosis” as the main thread to discuss how to explore and implement the digitalization of aesthetic education in colleges and universities. The article begins with the two major backgrounds of media convergence and digitalization, discussing how cross-border collaboration has brought about new changes in college aesthetic education in terms of disciplines, media, and fields. It also sorts out what the academic community has studied in areas such as cross-border paths, curriculum models, and technological empowerment, as well as what remains unexplored. Next, let’s focus on the smart aesthetic education platform that combines the virtual and the real and is data-driven. Discuss how to build a platform ecosystem through resource integration and the fusion of the virtual and the real, and then truly implement multi-dimensional evaluations through personalized services and visual evaluations. Finally, against the backdrop of interdisciplinary integration and the all-round development of students, it is proposed to use knowledge construction to create a diverse and symbiotic aesthetic education curriculum system and resource innovation to support the continuous development of the aesthetic education ecosystem. Overall, taking cross-border collaboration as a prerequisite, integration as a approach, and symbiosis as the goal can effectively promote the digitalization of aesthetic education in colleges and universities to proceed more steadily and effectively, and also provide solid support for cultivating all-round developed talents.
