Progress, Hot Topics, and Trends in Tennis Training Research from the Perspective of Core Journals

Abstract: This paper collected and classified nearly 18 years (2006-2024) of core journal literature on domestic tennis training, and used bibliometric methods to reveal the research frontiers, trends, and framework of tennis training. The study employed the methods of literature review, bibliometric analysis, and logical analysis, conducting a quantitative analysis of 272 core journal papers and summarizing the development patterns of tennis training. The study found that the number of papers on tennis training research in China fluctuated significantly at different stages, which was closely related to the development of sports, policy guidance, and the history of tennis itself. The research hotspots mainly concentrated in four categories: "competitive tennis", "youth", "professional tennis", and "finals". Future research will focus on optimizing the training system for youth, promoting scientific development, improving the recovery mechanism, and accelerating internationalization.
