Development and Validation Study of an Intelligent Drug Dispensing Tray for Anesthesia Preparation Phase

Abstract: This study designs an intelligent drug dispensing tray based on a pressure-sensing matrix to address issues such as incorrect drug placement, dosage exceedance, and drug incompatibility during anesthesia preparation. The hardware integrates 16-point FSR402 pressure sensors (accuracy 0.1g) and 3D-printed TPU vial adapters. Software developed in Python employs an adaptive recognition algorithm (density comparison tolerance ±0.05g/ml) and an error warning system. Innovatively, a temperature compensation algorithm was introduced, and performance was validated through 600 tests across 10 scenarios. The tray significantly enhances anesthesia drug dispensing safety through multi-modal perception and dynamic calibration technology, offering outstanding cost-effectiveness and suitability for primary healthcare institutions.
