Online Monitoring and Intelligent Early Warning Technology for Transformer Vibration and Sound Pattern Fusion

Abstract: Power transformers are the core equipment for electricity transmission and conversion in power grids, and their operational stability directly impacts the overall safety of the grid. Traditional online monitoring methods primarily rely on single parameters such as oil level or voltage, suffering from limitations such as a narrow perception scope and delayed early fault detection. This paper, starting from the shared characterization mechanisms of acoustic and vibration signals, elucidates the monitoring theories for these two signal types and proposes an integrated online monitoring framework featuring multi-sensor collaborative acquisition, edge-cloud collaborative processing, and standardized interface integration. Through laboratory validation and field application testing, the system was validated; practical bottlenecks in implementing existing technologies were identified; and a standardized development pathway was proposed.
